みんなさん、お久しぶり!日本語の勉強がどうですか?
minnasan, osashiburi! nihongo no benkyou ga dou desu ka?
Long time no see everyone, how's your Japanese study?

This time, we will talk about how to form simple sentence.

In English, we form sentence like this:

subject, verb, object
I, drink, water
You, eat, rice

But in Japanese, we form sentence like this:

subject, object, verb
I, water, drink (私は水を飲む)(watashi ha mizu wo nomu)
you, rice, eat (あなたはご飯を食べる)(anata ha gohan wo taberu)

At this point, we also need to cover 2 Japanese markers: は (pronounce wa), を (wo)

は is to mark the noun before it as the subject matter in this sentence.
彼は私の彼氏です,
kare wa watashi no kareshi desu,
he's my boy friend, "he" is the subject of this sentence.

この猫はかわいいです,
kono neko wa kawaii desu
this cat is cute, "this cat" is the subject of this sentence.

を is to mark action, A を B, action B is performed on A
本を読みます
hon wo yomimasu
Read (読みます) book (本), a book is being read
日本語を勉強します
nihongo wo benkyou shimasu
study (勉強します) Japanese (日本語), Japanese is being studied

With the knowledge in this lesson, you can finally describe your day in Japanese. For example,
今日は、牛丼を食べました、お茶を飲みました、すごくおいしいご飯です!
today, I ate beef on rice and drank tea, it's a super tasty meal!

Till next time,じゃね!
